Regarding the implementation of the death penalty, all the statements made by the President have been rendered useless. Although the President has said on several occasions that he has taken steps to carry out the death penalty, neither the Minister of Justice nor an official had been informed about the matter. Approval must be obtained through the Minister of Justice to implement it. The President has informed Diplomatic units have been notified that the death penalty will not be implemented. Presidential Secretariat sources say that the President's side has informed him that no decision has been taken on the implementation although the statements have been made.
Why is the public being deceived with great hopes by the controversial claims that the law will be implemented? Doesn't this government have a backbone, to secure a decision that they have made? If not, are these just another set of false hopes that are being given to the people?
